A Celebration of Glen Hansard brings together the Los Angeles community for a rare screening of ‘The Frames: In the Deep Shade’, followed by live performances and appearances from special guests.

Directed by Conor Masterson, ‘The Frames: In the Deep Shade’ is an intimate portrait of Glen Hansard’s band, The Frames, filmed over 18 months beginning with the band’s 20th anniversary tour. Rather than a traditional career retrospective, the documentary captures the longtime relationships between the five musicians through performances, rehearsals, travel and quiet moments on the road.

Following the screening, a small group of artists and friends will share songs and stories celebrating Glen Hansard, The Frames and the music they inspired. The evening will also begin with an informal busk outside the Lodge Room.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The People Concern, supporting people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles.
