Lara Sarkissian

“Seeing is Forgetting combines analog synths (Elori Saxl) with baritone saxophone + bass clarinet (Henry Solomon). Drawing equal parts from American jazz abstraction, New York classical minimalism, and contemporary pop’s sense of harmony, form, and hooks, the album is an exploration in presence, physicality, intuition, and vulnerability.” Elori Saxl is an American experimental electronic composer. Her music has received critical acclaim for its elegant and innovative combination of digitally-processed field recordings with analog synthesizers and orchestral instruments from The Washington Post, The Guardian, Pitchfork, The New Yorker, The Quietus, WNYC New Sounds, BBC Radio, Bandcamp Daily and more. Saxl has composed music for classical ensembles, PBS, The National Film Board of Canada, The Guggenheim, Burton, Patagonia, Google, Poler, Dove, the New Yorker, This American Life, Public Radio International, SFMOMA, and more. She has performed live around the world both solo and as a quartet including recent dates at Rewire, Dripping, WOS, National Sawdust, Public Records, and opening for Colin Stetson’s North American tour. Henry Solomon is an American artist, saxophonist, composer, and producer living in Los Angeles. In addition to writing and producing his own solo projects, he appears on recordings by Paramore, Vampire Weekend, Louis Cole, and Miley Cyrus, and was featured on HAIM’s grammy nominated album Women In Music Pt. 3. He also played baritone saxophone as Lisa Simpson in the Disney+ short “When Billie Met Lisa” featuring Billie Eilish. Henry has performed at Madison Square Garden, Hollywood Bowl, and Sofi Stadium with HAIM opening for Taylor Swift, and countless festivals across Europe, Japan, and Latin America. His solo albums combine jazz, pop, punk, and electronic, and have received praise in GQ from artists like Thundercat. Henry is working on a number of new albums for release in 2025.
