The Film Company

The Film Company is a San Diego power trio super-group, of sorts. Containing musicians who have played for the mighty Schitzophonics, the legendary El Vez, and other San Diego staples such as The New Kinetics, Shake Before Us, Dani Bell & The Tarantist, Hiroshima Mockingbirds, and Drug Hunt, The FIlm Company is a no-nonsense group that delivers energy and dynamics.

“Almost along the lines of the Schizophonics, but different. If the Schizophonics are more like the MC5 and all of the Stooges on crack, The Film Company is like The Strokes and the Eagles Of Death Metal on crystal meth.” -takinaride.com (8/13/2026)

Garnering their inception at The Casbah in Summer 2024, guitarist B Reilly, bassist John Falk, and drummer Declan Halloran have been firing on all cylinders ever since, opening up for acts such as The Detroit Cobras, Kid Congo, Louis XIV, and Johnny Pandora. In 2024, The Film Company released their first record, “We Were Promised Rockets.” This past Spring 2026, TFC won “Best Indie/Alternative Album” at the San Diego Music Awards, and was nominated “Best Indie/Alternative Artist.”
