The Sunstroke Serenaders are not your average Grateful Dead cover band. Reigning from the small artist beach town of Laguna Beach, California, these fellas take you on a trip back to simpler times – tube amps, live takes, stoney jams, tape machines, vintage vans, and good ol’ rock n’ roll. The band likes to play their music raw and stripped down. Feel over technicality. If it’s not groovin’ it’s not movin’. Folks say that the group “keeps the vibe alive.” Influenced by the Hippie and Americana movement from the late 60’s/early 70’s, major influences include Bob Dylan, The Band, The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, George Harrison, Jerry Garcia Band, Bob Marley, and the like.
